origins
It is practically no longer possible to determine the origin of the Braque de l'Ariège. Many cynologists attribute it to the king's white dogs as depicted in Oudry's paintings at Versailles. It is an enduring pointer, insensitive to bad weather, which is particularly suitable for partridge hunting. It searches quickly, but only within a limited area.
