This remarkable hound is another descendant of the Celtic pointer. It is just as related to the hound of Saint Hubert and the hound of the Swiss Jura. The striking resemblance also with the Schiller Stövare from Sweden demonstrates the great homogeneity of the old German shorthaired pointers.
